Thomas
is constantly trying to make people laugh, and he has such a great sense of
humor. He cracks himself up as much as
he does anyone else, and his laugh is so contagious you cannot help but laugh
along with him. "I just can't stop
laughing, Mom" is a common phrase!
Even while he is sleeping, we can hear him giggling at his dreams.
The
boys are inseparable, and Thomas is a fantastic big brother. He is incredibly protective of Tyler and
makes sure that his little brother has everything that he needs or wants. He even gets on to us when we tell Tyler 'no'
about something!
Thomas
is tall for his age, and even though he is slender, already has a muscular
build. He is always moving, running, and
tumbling and likes to do pushups and other types of exercise.
Fire
trucks, firefighters and fire departments are his current obsession. He loves to go to the fire department to see
his daddy, and he pesters everyone up at the station with all kinds of
questions. He loves to talk about
different kinds of fire trucks and what they are used for, as well as the
ranking of firefighters and who rides in which truck. He tells everyone that will listen that he is
going to be a fireman when he grows up.
He has a ton of toy fire trucks, firefighters and fire stations and uses
blocks and boxes to expand to the toy fire stations so that more of his fire
trucks will fit inside. He also spends
hours on YouTube watching videos of firefighters putting out fires and fire
trucks responding.
He
is still our 'go-go-go' kid and wakes up wanting to know where we are going for
the day or who is coming over. He loves
having his friends or cousins come over, but he likes company of just about any
kind. Thomas is a fantastic host, likes
to hand out drinks and snacks, and is pretty good (most of the time!) about
sharing his toys. He goes to preschool
twice a week, and we love hearing his stories when he comes home.
Thomas
is better at the games we have put on his iPhone than I am (Angry Birds is his
favorite), and enjoys coloring, painting and playing with play dough. We spend some time outside every day the
weather permits. He loves the zoo or
parks, but is just as happy in the backyard with the swing set, trampoline, and
(of course) fire truck.
We
are so proud of him and love watching him grow and change! He is such a fun and loving kid, and every minute
with him is such an incredible gift!
